About Dr. Coccaro

Dr. Coccaro has been practicing orthodontics for over thirty years. He is a member of the American Orthodontic Association and a preferred provider with Invisalign orthodontics.

Dr. Coccaro graduated from Georgetown University Dental School. He served an internship at the Public Health Service Hospital in San Francisco, California followed by two years of service at the Coast Guard Academy doing general dentistry.

He returned to Georgetown University and earned a Masters of Science in the specialty of Orthodontics.

Dr. Coccaro was Director of Post Graduate Orthodontic at the University of Maryland Dental School. There he taught dentists to be orthodontists.

Dr. Coccaro has lived in the Bethesda area for over thirty years. He has been an active participant in the local community and has been especially supportive of local schools and the sports, academic, cultural and fundraising projects of the students.

He is renowned as the “school auctioneer”. He enjoys a wonderful reputation as auctioneer to private and county schools, churches, and charities such as SOME (So Others May Eat), The Christ Child Society.

Dr.C, as he is known to paitents and friends, has sponsored softball teams, scouts, holiday programs…volunteered at reading programs...A favorite activity over many years has been to serve as honorary Principal for a day at a grammar school…fun day and no home work at night.

It is his belief that the support of the community is a necessary part of life. He appreciates the support and loyalty of his patient families. He wishes to thank them for the confidence that they have shown in him...

In his free time Dr. C. enjoys golf. Playing golf, watching golf and talking about golf.
